Scalp Micropigmentation

Nano-needle pigment placement that replicates natural hair follicles — for pattern baldness, thinning, alopecia, and transplant scar camouflage, for both men and women.

How it works

The process

Modern SMP replicates hair to conceal patterned baldness in shaved hair styles, give thinning hair a density boost, restore a receding hairline, and conceal linear and circular hair transplant scars — even facelift scars hidden deep into the hairline.

The key to a successful outcome is not overshooting it: no bold look, no big effects, no heavy color. We use nano-needles to replicate your own follicle size in colors that harmonize with your natural hair, even if you are going grey or are a natural ginger. With extensive experience and a deep understanding of color outcomes, we create the most natural effect — just one less thing to think about each morning. Simplicity is freedom.

Most clients complete their look in two to five sessions about four weeks apart, after a thorough consultation, health history, and skin assessment, and sometimes a change of hair style or color. Longevity is based on metabolic activity, environmental exposure, topical product use, other layered treatments such as lasers, RF, roller devices, and peels, internal medications, and the normal breakdown of pigment.

What we treat

Types of hair loss

Male pattern baldness

From early recession through full Norwood 7, SMP restores the appearance of a full, closely shaved head of hair with a hairline designed to age naturally with you.

Density & thinning

For clients who still have hair, pigment placed between existing follicles reduces the contrast between scalp and hair, so thinning areas stop showing through.

SMP for women

Women's hair loss usually presents as diffuse thinning along the part line and crown. Pigment is applied softly and diffusely to reduce scalp visibility — never with a hard hairline.

Alopecia

Alopecia areata, totalis, and universalis are all treatable. SMP works at any stage of loss and does not depend on any remaining hair.

Hair transplant scars

FUT strip scars and FUE dot scarring are camouflaged by matching pigment into the surrounding scalp, frequently combined with density work across the donor area.

Scalp scars & injury

Scars from surgery, injury, or previous procedures are blended into the scalp so they no longer catch the eye through short hair.

The Consultation

A quiet conversation before anything begins

Your consultation is time set aside to review your goals, skin condition and healing history, treatment and medical history, any previous tattoo or permanent makeup work, realistic expectations, timing, and which of our artists is the right match for you.

Consultation fees are applied toward your completed procedure or treatment session.
