Scar Camouflage & Restorative Tattooing in Bucks County & the Philadelphia Area
Dermagrafix has been placing restorative pigment since 2003. Clients come to our Doylestown studio from Philadelphia, across Bucks and Montgomery counties and over from New Jersey for surgical and trauma scars, stretch marks, pigment loss and inkless texture work.
Most scars can be improved — but not every scar should be treated the same way. You do not need to know which approach you need before you book. That is our job, and if camouflage is not the right option we will tell you.
Heads up: booking opens in a new tab on our scheduling partner's site, vagaro. Your appointment is still with Dermagrafix.

What clients in this area ask us about
Surgical scars
Facelift and neck lift incisions, breast and tummy tuck scars, knee and hip replacement lines, thyroid and cardiac scars — the work most often referred to us by surgeons across Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
Skin cancer and Mohs sites
Forehead, nose, temple and ear excision sites, treated once the area has fully settled and your dermatologist is happy for us to proceed.
Stretch marks
Abdomen, hips, thighs and upper arms. Mature, silvery striae respond best; fresh red or purple marks are asked to settle first.
Pigment loss
Hypopigmented scars and stable vitiligo patches repigmented to match the skin around them, never with white or flesh-tone pigment over darker skin.
Trauma and burn scars
Accident, laceration and burn scarring, often needing texture work before any colour is placed.
Inkless texture work
For raised, tight or uneven scars where softening the texture is the right first step and pigment may never be needed at all.

Common questions
Do I need to know which treatment I need?
No. Some scars respond best to camouflage pigment, some need texture work first, and some do best with a combination. Working that out is the point of the consultation — and if camouflage is not right for your scar, we will say so.
How old does my scar need to be?
Usually at least twelve months, fully closed, flat and no longer changing colour. Surgeons in the area often refer people right around that one-year mark.
How many trips will this take?
Restorative work is layered over several sessions, spaced roughly six to eight weeks apart so healed colour can be judged before more is added. Why it takes multiple sessions.
What does it cost?
Treatment generally ranges from $399 to $799 per session. The number of sessions depends on the scar, the treatment area and the restorative approach. What affects the cost.
Can the first appointment be virtual?
Yes. Consultations are virtual, so nobody drives up from the city just to find out whether their scar is a good candidate.
