Scar camouflage runs between $399 and $799 a session with us. It is not priced like a single tattoo, because it is not one — it is a course of work, and most scars need several sessions.

What actually drives the price
- Size and number of areas. A single surgical line on the face is a very different appointment from stretch marks across the abdomen or a full donor scar.
- Texture. Raised, indented, or tight scars often need needling or revision work before any pigment goes in. That is a separate stage, and it adds sessions.
- Colour matching. Skin with a lot of movement in tone — freckling, sun exposure, melanin-rich skin, vitiligo edges — takes more careful layering, and sometimes a paid spot test first.
- How your skin heals. Healing decides the pace. Some people settle in three sessions; others need more.
Why we quote after a consultation, not over the phone
Two scars that look similar in a photo can need completely different plans once we see them in person and stretch the skin. Quoting blind would either overcharge you or leave you with a number that changes later, and neither is fair. A consultation with a specialist is $49, and that fee is applied toward your completed procedure or treatment session.
What you get for that consultation
We look at the scar itself, your history, any previous tattoo or laser work, and your expectations — then give you a realistic number of sessions, a timeline, and a price. Sometimes the most useful thing we tell people is to wait: a scar that is still maturing will camouflage far better in a few months than it will today.
Is any of it covered?
Scar camouflage generally is not. Areola restoration after mastectomy is the exception worth pursuing — there is a path to potential out-of-network reimbursement, and our non-profit partners and financing options help in other cases.
